I'm still not done reclaiming my car from the snowbank after an hour's work... but at least a foot and a half of snow makes a good theft deterrent. All this new years talk... my my. Let's see if I have anything worthwhile to add. What I learned (highlights): + A whole hell of a lot about sound, about how I think about sound, and about what I want to do to involve the rest of my life with sound. + How to work at a serious job. I consider my first real job (and my first experience in the corporate world) a success and look forward to working the job again in the summer. + The joys of independent living. Since I got my single in the spring, things have been rockin'. Even when I'm home with my dad I feel what I think is a healthy level of independence - we live like good buddies who are roommates. Resolutions: First, let me say that I hate the idea of new years resolutions. We shouldn't need a special annual kick in the ass to make us do what we should be doing already. And as far as kicks in the ass go, it's an ineffectual method; very few resolutions last longer than a few weeks. The following resolutions really have nothing to do with the change of year. They're goals of mine already. Anyway. + Write enough (good) material for a solo CD. Whether I release the CD is immaterial, but I'm tired of not having any finished musical products for such a long time. + Pass my classes. I want to get no grades lower than a B so that I can graduate with honors and be confident that I have learned the materials. Hmm. That's enough for now, I think. Happy New Year, everyone. -Z
