Something being totally random would be Derek dreaming about things he is
terribly familar with.. comics, women, books, cars, etc.

Dreaming about God... I believe that does signify something.  Especially since
it 1) stuck in his mind for him to remember and 2) he's been thinking about it
a lot since that time, not just brushing it off.



What does it mean?  I have no clue.  I subscribe that only YOU can interperet
your own dreams because objects mean different things to different people (like
the Book, the fact that it was in Suesian rhyme, the particular question, etc.
etc.).


I think your agnosticism is being atleast addressed if not challenged.  Why
would you ask God questions if you don't believe you can know him? Or if you
believe he doesn't even exist?  To me, that makes no sense at all.
