Name: blue star IP: 206.76.17.244 Subject: don't touch my bikini Email: bluestarliz@hotmail.com Website: http:// no musical inspiration? do like i told john, let yourself be sad, then you should be able to write...i've been spouting out music as of late like nobody's business...and though most of it isn't worth remembering more than the five mintutes i play it, some of it is turning out pretty damn good...i'll be so excited when the grand prize is all set and ready to play for people, we're gonna sound so awesome (hey, another thing i need to do today...write lyrics! grr...and that's the part i'm the worst at...i never know what to say in a song). i don't know how it works with computer music, but if i'm writing for guitar (or this works for piano, but i don't really write on that much), i just sit around and make sounds for a while, and remeber everything that sounds good and hope i can stick it together...the key here is to create a lot so that there is at least a little good stuff burried in the crap (my own personal problem is a tendency to rewrite songs i've written already). or if the problem is not inspiration but rather lack of confidence...i'd say about 90% of all musicians/writers/artists i've met are totally insecure about their craft, even if what they do is totally amazing. so if that is the problem, just keep on creating and make sure you show your stuff to someone who will encourage you and tell you what you are doing is good...every artist of any sort needs one of those i've decided.
