I'll do what I can to contribute. Given my adaptive nature (qutie possibly the trait that I'm proudest of) and my chosen outlook on life, where I will be in 10 years and where I would like to be in 10 years are one and the same. Unfortunately, it's a little hard for me to see that far in the future. Here are some guesses: Living: Texas, Oklahoma, and California are all likely candidates. I suppose Chicago is as well, but I think I will have my fill of living here 3 years from now. If in Texas, probably Austin, maybe Lubbock. If in Oklahoma, either the farm, OK City (Norman, maybe), or Tulsa (not very likely, but possible). The farm is honestly the most likely of those choices. California - who knows? CA is an exciting possibility that has been in my thoughts quite a bit lately. What I will be doing: I am determined to involve both music (more generally, sound/audio) and computers in whatever I am doing. Within these constraints, there are several interesting options. If in California/Austin, I will have the option to get involved in computer game music or more serious computer audio applications, film music, composition for its own sake, audio engineering, sound research (signal processing, filter theory, synthesis techniques, etc.)... I could also be content working at a more typical computer industry type job or doing research in another area of computer science while doing music in my spare time. That scenario could see me living anywhere that I mentioned above. I also plan to run CP until I'm old and grey, so you guys will always have a place to keep in touch and maybe see something neat now and then. Whatever I'm involved in, I want ultimately to be able to freely exercise my creative urges (hopefully they'll still be there, eh?) at work if I can, but at home for sure. For anyone who's curious about Kenny 3 years from now, right now I'm considering both UT-Austin and CCRMA at Stanford (http://www-ccrma.stanford.edu/). Both places will be difficult to get into for graduate work (I want a masters for sure, probably a Ph.D), but they are my best two choices at the moment. There have been some great replies to this 10-year question. It's good to think about the future sometimes. -Z
