Ah yes.. as to the macintosh standard in multimedia stuff, graphics applications will be about
the same on a mac and a PC unless you really go all out and get a Power Mac G4. Those will be
the absolute best for photoshop and its brethren (by, in theory, a factor of 2-3, which is a lot
for that sort of thing.) ... but otherwise, i.e. if you can only get something with a G3 in it
(an iMac, say) then you're as well off with a PC.
Honestly, they crash about the same amount. And while solutions to macintosh problems are
simpler, they're more aggravating, I think, too. well... whatever.--- --- --- --- --- --- ---

Actually, the computer would live in my apartment and possibly my house (depending on how soon I
get it), so no university connections for it.  And the school as ethernet so it can stay
permanantly connected.  Argh.  This means I need to stop spending so much money on things like
addictive rpgs and CDs and stuff and get me a computer since I don't really know how I'm going
to make it through the summer without one.  And I don't know jack about PCs or Apples; I just
